Plan my college campaign

Student behavior

Online and on campus: market to the whole student experience.

Students do not separate digital life from campus life. They use each to decide what is worth doing in the other.

Digital conversation is part of campus life

Students check what people are saying before they choose an event, a restaurant, a club, or a product. Then real-world experiences create the stories and opinions that travel back online. Brands should plan for that loop instead of labeling one touchpoint digital and the other experiential.

Give every message a practical role

Awareness creative can establish why something matters. A second message can remove friction with the time, location, price, or eligibility. A final reminder can create urgency. Useful details are not less creative; for a student deciding between competing priorities, they are often the reason a message works.

Build the activation before, during, and after

Use a three-phase plan. Before the event, seed the idea and answer obvious questions. During it, make the experience easy to find and share. Afterward, collect reactions, extend the offer, and identify what should change at the next campus. The learning phase is part of the activation, not an optional recap.

Respect the campus calendar

A good idea at the wrong time is still the wrong campaign. Check academic breaks, exams, move-in, major games, and local weather before locking the plan. A small timing adjustment can matter more than another round of copy changes because it changes whether students can act at all.
